So sure, you *can* spend 100,000 diamonds on them and get a stupid-high boost, but it's a prize that *everyone* has a fair shot at landing a good number of, unlike if they'd given Lv10 ToI's say, +50% atk & def boost. That's probably the big reason why Inno ended up nerfing initially the Winner's Plaza (iirc, apparently some dude on beta had 12+ of them?!), and in this event, they nerfed the Contestent's Estate from 5% down to 3% atk boost. The only time the "pay-to-win" is 'wrong', is if say, the 'grand prize' were a building that gave out anything like an atk% bonus & was only achievable through diamond spending.Īt that point, it's just breaking all semblance of game balance & clearly putting a big price tag on "you *need* this or you're gonna suffer & get stomped!lolz." Lv6-7 will be readily doable if you finish the quest line & long in every day, and it's not a bad building really. If you have a 'full screen' to collect and want to restart your production (say at lunchtime, middle of the night), this can collect all your coins and supplies and reset your production (whatever time frame you want) in less than a minute. The super spenders afterall are the ones keeping the lights on at IG, so they deserve a little something extra now and then imho. Sometimes when you are in a hurry, it can be for convenience as well. Personally I don't mind when there's occasional events that end up meant more for the 'diamond whales' than the majority of the player base.
